Background: The Sisters of Charity of New York, in response to LCWR’s (Leadership Conference of Women Religious) call to address systemic racism and our complicity in it, offers ongoing conversations and initiatives as part of its Laudato Si’ Action Platform. Beginning in 2022 until this April, a group of about 25 people met ten times online reading and discussing 10 chapters of the book, The 1619 Project. NETWORK Lobby’s webinars on White Supremacy and Christian Nationalism are valuable resources in continuing the conversation. We offer this three-part series of conversations to those interested in learning and exploring more.
