Our historic Sisters of Charity shared General Assembly 2023 with the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth has officially concluded.
The Sisters of Charity of New York are happy to announce that the delegates of Assembly 2023 have elected Sister Donna Dodge, President and approved the appointment of Sister Margaret O’Brien as first Assistant to the President, and Sister Mary Mc Cormick as second Assistant to the President, for a term of four years, 2023–2027.
The Sisters of Charity of New York are also happy to announce that the delegates of Assembly 2023 elected the following Sisters as Councilors for a term of four years, 2023-2027: Sister Mary Ann Daly, Sister Sheila Brosnan, and Sister Margaret Egan.
Delegates from our New Jersey family also voted for their next leadership team electing Sister Maureen Shaughnessy, General Superior, Sister Cecilia McManus, Assistant General Superior, Sister Maryanne Campeotto, Councilor/Secretary, and Ellen Farrell, Councilor/Treasurer.
Blessings and prayers for all as they prepare to begin to carry the flame of charity forward during their new terms in leadership.
