LEFSA Operations Manager James Addison offered a prayer of thanksgiving.

The Life Experience Faith Sharing Associates held their annual picnic in Central Park on Saturday, July 12, a picture-perfect day. LEFSA Director Karolina May and Project Manager James Addison organized a dynamic team to help coordinate a day of fun, food, face-painting, and joyful thanksgiving for almost 200 participants of the much anticipated event.

To help make the day possible, John Healy provided one of his  his Big John Moving trucks to transport the prepared food to the park, as well as funds for much of the food. Using the kitchen facilities at St. Jean Baptiste Church on 75th Street, Georgia and Donna James cooked for an entire week to prepare for the picnic. Barry Markman and Golda Fleischman were on hand to help serve the 150 pounds of shrimp, crab legs and gallons of cocktail sauce that he donates every year. Sister Karen Helfenstein, Director of Sponsorship Services, Anne Marie Gardiner, Director of Development, her husband Tom, Sister Mary Sugrue, LEFSA friend Georg Horton, and many others were also on hand to help serve the food.

LEFSA Team Members spent a busy afternoon running the food to many of the attendees who are physically challenged. Participants included past and present clients of LEFSA and their families.

At the end of the day the 22nd annual picnic was deemed a huge success and a great time was had by all.
