On July 16, 2015, IrishCentral.com posted an article written for the Irish Voice that praised the contributions of the Sisters of Charity, particularly in the mid-to-late 19th Century when Irish immigrants arrived in New York in large numbers.
Author Turlough McConnell is the curator and producer of the exhibit, “A Monumental Legacy: Archbishop John J. Hughes and the Building of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.” His research, which brought him to the Sisters of Charity Archives, inspired this article about the Congregation.
