Patricia Tursi of Elizabeth Seton Children’s and Michael Spicer of St. Joseph’s Medical Center recognized for leadership and impact in health care across New York.

The Sisters of Charity of New York are proud to share that two of our ministries have been honored by City & State New York as part of its 2026 Trailblazers in Health Care list — an annual recognition of notable leaders shaping health and wellness across New York State.

Patricia Tursi, CEO of Elizabeth Seton Children’s, was recognized for her decades of leadership serving children and young adults with complex medical needs and for helping expand the organization’s reach to support thousands of families each year.

Michael J. Spicer, President & CEO of St. Joseph’s Medical Center, was also named to the list for his leadership in strengthening access to care and advancing health services for the communities St. Joseph’s serves.

This recognition is a meaningful affirmation of what we have long known: that health care leadership grounded in compassion, dignity, and service can transform lives and communities.

Please join us in celebrating this well-deserved honor and the work of both ministries as they continue to carry forward the healing mission at the heart of the Sisters of Charity of New York.

Thank you for leading with heart.
