The desert is not punishment.
It is clarity.
In the wilderness, Jesus is tempted with:
- Bread without justice
- Power without sacrifice
- Glory without truth
He refuses all three.
Lent is not about proving our strength. It is about remembering who we are.
Not everything that offers power is from God.
Not everything that promises security is holy.
Stay in the desert long enough to hear what truly sustains you.
This is the work of Lent.
