Welcoming Our New Executive Director: Maureen Reiser
After a four-month discernment process, the Search Committee of the Sisters of Charity Federation Board has completed its work. I am delighted to announce the appointment of Maureen Reiser as the fourth Executive Director of the Federation.
Maureen brings broad leadership experience and a longstanding relationship with the Federation. You may recognize her from her role on the 2026 Assembly of the Whole Planning Committee or her coordination of the 250th virtual celebration of Elizabeth Seton’s birthday. Her love for the Federation and its charism is evident and will shine even more as she steps into this role.
Over the next couple of months, Maureen will be working alongside Sr. Grace Hartzog to ensure a smooth transition before assuming full-time responsibilities. We are excited for what lies ahead under Maureen’s leadership and invite you to join us in warmly welcoming her.

With deep gratitude, we thank Sister Grace Hartzog for her faithful and dedicated service as Executive Director over the past seven years. Grace has led the Federation with enthusiasm, clarity, and professionalism, always embracing the charism and creating space for diverse voices and ideas.
Her presence and leadership will be greatly missed, and we know the feeling is mutual. We wish her much joy and fulfillment in the next chapter of her journey.
